Early morning mists, swept along Loch Laggan by a cold east wind, eventuallyrelented sufficiently to allow this atmospheric shot of ArdverickieCastle.This baronial mansion on the southern shore of Loch Laggan is wellpreserved, but generally kept out of the public spotlight. The BBCtelevision series "Monarch of the Glen" filmed here, has recently createdmuch interest.

A bitter overnight frost, followed by a windless morning, created perfect light and reflections on Loch Leven. Glencoe is ten minutes away to the east - Fort William and Ben Nevis lie twelve miles to the north.
