I first became serious about photography in 1997 when I joined the Edinburgh Photographic Society. A short time later I joined my local camera club at Linlithgow.
In 1998 I travelled to the American Southwest, on a landscape photographic workshop, and this fired my passion for exploring natural landscapes. Since then I have divided my time between photographing the American Southwest, particularly southern Utah, and the wild areas of Scotland.
My work has been published in a number of photographic magazines, including Amateur Photographer and Outdoor Photography. I have also had successful exhibitions in Scotland.
Current equipment includes both 35mm and 5x4 large format. I shoot exclusively on Velvia transparency film.
My new landscape work is inspired by the images of American Landscape Photographer Michael Fatali and Scottish Photographer Duncan McEwan. |
